A carbon fibre superstructure is the first clue that the Pershing 8x is an exceptional craft, even amongst her remarkable Pershing sisters. The next is the engine choice: as well as the standard installation which achieves 45 knots, a larger option boosts her top speed to a phenomenal 48 knots, which is 89km/h. With the optional auto-trim and Joystick control, the driving experience is simplicity itself and absolutely sensational. Huge windows and an opening sunroof create a wonderfully bright main deck, a theme that’s carried through to the magnificent full-beam owner’s suite and three guest suites. On deck, the very handy jet-ski lockers on the foredeck deserve a mention, as does the stern garage which is large enough for a 3,45m RIB.
