Yacht Consult, for example, has recently sold a Sunreef 80 Eco Yacht. And with that, the Ostend company has secured an absolute first, because this is the very first boat of its kind to be launched in Europe!
The Sunreef 80 Eco is an eco-friendly luxury vessel that combines electric propulsion, super-yacht living spaces, reliable sailing performance and the most recent green enhancements in the industry. Thanks to Sunreef Yachts’ own solar power system, the Sunreef 80 Eco can generate up to 32kWp. With a total area of 164 m², the solar panels can be integrated into various composite structures of the yacht, including the mast, boom, body, and sides of the hull. The luxury catamaran is also equipped with an ultra-light battery bank that is 30% lighter than the average batteries used in the nautical industry.
Yacht Consult announces that the boat will also be used at various trade shows to highlight the green future in the luxury yacht sector.
